I’ve been gone a long, long, time and I’m so happy to be back!  Life was pretty crazy the last few months and thankfully mostly for good reasons which meant that I just couldn’t sit my butt down long enough to write a proper post.  Oh, how I missed this and I’m hoping you’ll come back with me.   I’ve come up with a pattern for an easy snood that can be knit up pretty quickly and it’s a perfect Valentine’s Day gift for that someone special in your life whether it’s your other half, BFF, or your first friend ever (aka: brother or sister).   Continue reading

It’s that time of year again when we try to find the perfect gift for our loved ones and some times we drive ourselves a little crazy in the process (or at least I do). knit, knit, knit

If you haven’t already noticed, I LOVE to knit and I even mentioned it in my first post.  I know it’s weird because usually knitting is associated with a senior citizen knitting ugly Christmas sweaters for her grandkids.  Obviously senior citizens knit but so do a lot of younger people and some beautiful things are created.  Knitting is a fantastic creative outlet and it’s portable! diy: blue LOVE clutch

This  DIY blue LOVE clutch was inspired by a We Are Knitters (WAK) pattern they were handing out at the Beefeater London Market in Madrid this spring. The pattern was for a mega clutch in WAK’s fabric yarn. The pattern was cool but it wasn’t exactly what I wanted however it did inspire me to make my own clutch. This is my first DIY project on LLK and what started out as just a quick knit turned into something more elaborate but the end result was totally worth it.   I don’t know why I have a tendency to overdo it, well actually I do, it’s called perfectionism (my number one frenemy).
