Lusting over…

I thought I’d share some of the stuff I’ve been loving, obsessing, and “needing” lately. Hopefully you can join me in going crazy over the little things that make us smile and for this reason alone they make them totally worth lusting over.

laughlovekiss Seriously delishSeriously Delish cookbook by Jessica Merchant from www.howsweeteats.com: I finally got Jessica’s first cookbook and it’ll take me a while to get through it because I’m reading every page. I totally inherited my mom’s bedtime reading habit of reading cookbooks and this one is freakin’ awesome. Jessica’s my favourite blogger and needless to say this book was pre-ordered the first day it was available. I can’t wait to start making recipes from it but for now I’m just enjoying drooling over every picture and all the stories Jessica shares.

GEOX New Virna motorcycle boots: Let’s just say that GEOX shoes to me equated orthopaedic old lady shoes but they completely surprised me the other day when I succumbed to their motorcycle boots. These boots are cute, comfortable, and I’m hoping they’re durable but I just got them so no word on that yet. I was in Lisbon all week and did quite a bit of walking and these didn’t kill me after a whole day of trekking around the city. New shoes and no blisters is a new phenomenon for me, which as far as I was concerned was a total urban legend but I was happily proven wrong this week. I also have the feeling that these are going to look better as time goes on.

UTERQÜE: I was in their store the other day and I basically “needed” everything they had! I want these, this, this one looked amazing on me, and this is a staple. I think M knows where he can get some of his Christmas shopping done this year.

1989 and X: I know my musical taste is questionable to many (my sister is nodding her head as we speak) but Taylor Swift’s new album is infectious and Ed Sheeran’s X is amazing as well. They’re both on constant repeat on my iPod.

MAC Rebel lipstick: She convinced me and next time I’m at MAC I’ll definitely be trying this shade. I’ve been looking for a vampy fall lipstick and this one may just fit the bill. I’ll keep you posted. Has anyone else tried this lipstick?

Yarn: I went a little crazy the last month and bought way too much on yarn but I just couldn’t help myself. I picked up some amazingly beautiful yarn at www.vegaknits.com and I also picked up some gorgeous merino yarn at Retrosaria in Lisbon. The yarns in the pic are Malabrigo Worsted in Natural, Silk Mohair for Vegaknits by Avril in 08 brown, Blue Sky Alpaca Silk in Truffle, and Madelinetosh Merino Light in Terrarium. I also ordered Quince & Co’s Chickadee in Iceland and I should get it on Monday. Now I just have to find the time to knit all the beautiful things I want to make with these decadent yarns.

Lisbon: I LOVE Lisbon and the time I spent there recently just reaffirmed my pure love for this city. You can see some of my favourite places here and I’ll be adding a few new faves soon.
